May 2007 - HBCA partners with local Nigerian
companies to set up Entrepreneurship Development Academy Programme.
On his trip to Nigeria, The MD of HBCA committed to be involved with setting up
a program to empower people with the necessary skills to enable them to set up,
improve or grow businesses. He said that "The EDAP will teach real skills for
real business. With a dedicated, enthusiastic team who have a wealth of relevant
business experience EDAP is destined for success" The first academy will be in
Ogun State launching within the next few months.

Steve Owbridge was privileged to meet with His Excellency President Obasanjo
at Otah, Ogun State to discuss how HBC Academy can help empower the youth in
the Niger Delta region. His Excellency was very enthusiastic about the HBCA
vision and agreed to push the project forward as soon as possible.
